Skillpages 220x54 SkillPages launches premium accounts for its skills marketplace as it passes 21m users SkillPages, the startup offering a way to find trusted people with specific skills, from plumbers and accountants to musicians and software developers, has today launched premium accounts as it passes the 21 million registered users mark.

Tackling the labor market in a different way to the likes of TaskRabbit or oDesk, SkillPages aims to be a better alternative to using the Yellow Pages or asking around friends for recommendations when you need to hire someone with a specific skill.

The three types of paid-for accounts target service providers and freelancers, recruiters and job-seekers. They offer features relevant to each group, such as a personal webpage on SkillPages and insights into who has looked at your profile for service providers and freelancers, and enhanced search capabilities for recruiters.
