Tesco has launched a PlayStation 3 app for its video-streaming service Blinkbox.
Thus far, Blinkbox users have been able to access the service through the PS3 browser, but with a native app now in tow, it will be much easier to browse, save and pay for movies and TV shows.
Unlike Netflix or LoveFilm, Blinkbox is built around rentals and purchases rather than monthly subscriptions and, as such, it typically has access to a broader array of big-budget Hollywood movies. It’s basically Blockbuster…for your living room.
Blinkbox was acquired by supermarket chain Tesco more than two years ago, and is now available on a range of devices, including desktop, games consoles, smart TVs, set-top boxes, iPad and Android tablets.
