The company also made a statement to TechCrunch, saying, "We will continue to use our resources to stay ahead of malicious hackers and defend our customers from security attacks, regardless of who's behind them."

Apple: iOS 7 installed on 78% of its mobile devices. Considering that iOS 6 is only a year old, this number means that 96 percent of Apple handhelds are either running either the current or former operating system.
